The trail has one unfinished section that begins at 9th Street where the trail crosses under Railroad Avenue. This section can be detoured by taking the right-hand connector trail up to Railroad Avenue near Capitol Deli, going north for two blocks, and taking a right on 11th Street. The trail begins again where 11th Street meets Rifle Creek.
